What is Elenxos and how does it work?

What is Elenxos?

Elenxos is an online service that evaluates digital risk indicators. It helps visitors examine a website address, email or SMS before deciding whether to follow a link or trust a message. It presents risk signals and explanations, not security certifications.

Which risks can it help identify?

Online scams may involve deceptive websites, attempts to steal passwords, impersonation of known organizations and suspicious messages. Elenxos looks for available signals that may be associated with these risks. The absence of detected signals does not rule out fraud.

Checking websites and URLs

If you receive an unfamiliar link, you can copy its address and submit it to the URL Scanner without opening the suspicious page first. Review the result and available findings. A familiar brand name appearing in a URL does not prove that the link is genuine.

Checking email and SMS messages

Deceptive messages often create urgency through claims about account suspension, delivery problems or identity verification. The Elenxos Email and SMS checkers help assess such warning signs. Before submitting content, remove personal information, passwords and third-party details.

How should results be interpreted?

A result may show a risk level together with relevant findings. Read the explanations and consider the context of the message or link. Result categories indicate an assessment; they are not definitive proof that something is malicious or trustworthy.

Why CLEAN does not guarantee safety

CLEAN means that the particular assessment did not identify sufficient risk indicators based on the available evidence and evaluation rules. It does not certify a website, sender or transaction as safe. New threats and deceptive behavior may go undetected.

Practical steps for digital protection

Avoid unexpected links and never disclose passwords or one-time verification codes. For banks and public services, open the official app yourself or type the known address. Use unique passwords, multi-factor authentication and updated devices. If you suspect fraud, contact the organization through an independently verified official channel.

Using Elenxos responsibly

Use Elenxos as an additional source of information, not as the sole basis for trust. Combine its findings with inspection of the actual address, independent verification of the sender and your own caution. Do not submit sensitive personal data or secret credentials.

Elenxos evaluates risk indicators. CLEAN does not mean guaranteed safe.
